Original artwork description
This painting shows me enjoying Salvator Mundi by Leonardo Da Vinci. The painting shows Jesus Christ as Salvator Mundi (Latin for Savior of the World). Da Vinci painted it around 1500. Jesus gives a benediction with his right hand raised and two fingers extended.
It sold last year for a record breaking 450 million and is currently the most expensive painting ever to be sold at auction. I thought it was a perfect theme for my ongoing series of people in museums and of course there's a lot of symbolism here too.
