Original artwork description:

A sketch of four beautiful Sake cups that I bought because of the fine decoration on them.
Painted alla prima.
Getting back to one of my favourite compositions, taking the subject out of context and putting them in a line, so that I can concentrate on the colours and shadows and giving the simple subject the attention they wouldn't normally get.

Materials used:

Artist watercolour pigments on Sennelier hot pressed paper - 300g
