Artwork description
"Saint Neverburg" series grew out of a feeling that I can’t fully explain, a sense of mourning for something I never owned, yet somehow lost. It is about a city and a time I never lived in, but deeply relate to: a fragile moment in history marked by beauty, fear, departures, and irreversible change.
These works carry quiet farewells, forced journeys, and grief that had no space to be expressed. They are about cold ground, interrupted lives, and tears that were once too dangerous to cry. "Saint Neverburg" is my way of holding onto an absence, a place shaped by loss, memory, and longing that still feels painfully close.
The series consists of 6 matrices, each used for a small edition of hand carved linocut prints pulled manually through a press.
Black ink.
Archival 300gsm paper (white), paper size A5 (ca. 15 x 21) cm.
Numbered and signed by the artist, limited edition.
Minor color faults / patchiness may occur due to manual nature of work.
Unframed.
See framing suggestion in photos.
PLEASE KINDLY NOTE:
- the colors in life may slightly vary from the photo due to lighting sources or monitor settings.
- the parcel will be sent from Finland. Should the delivery address be outside the EU, the recipient may need to declare the painting and pay some local VAT and customs duties.
