According to myth, along Brittany's pink granite coast line a Welsh monk by the name of Saint Guirec arrived landing on this beach, seeking to build a monastery. Just across from the 12th century shrine (the Oratory of Saint Guirec), sits a typical house, and it is this that captured my attention.
It is on Italian canvas, attached to a wooden board, using impressionist techniques such as dry brushing and many small impasto brush strokes to represent form and colour.
Oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois)
