Rutland Vineyard on a Changeable Day
Oil on board 60 x 50 cm (24" x 20")
I painted this after a very English weather type day when out painting with a local art group.
It was great fun, painting alongside fellow artists, but all the sketches I made were very watery because the skies just opened and it poured.
So we stopped for something to eat, had a tramp round the fields, heard some skylarks and got into the car to go home.
Then it stopped raining, but we were cold and had had enough.
All in all a very enjoyable day and this painting came about because of that.
