I love Portugal and I have been several times in a small town along the coast near Lisbonne which name is Cascaïs. There’s a commercial street lined with palm trees. With all the colored building, the vibes is magic and very different. I wanted the palm trees to be the « heros » of the scene: I painted them in a low-angle shot so that they dance in the sky. The general palette is made of soft pinks,whites and yellows and the I worked on a soft grey for the sky with a large brush. This painting gives an impression of holidays and travel.
