Original artwork description
This is a circular drawing on Arches hot press paper. I visited an exhibition on Anglo Saxon kingdoms at the British Library a few years ago, and came across some round drawings which I found particularly beautiful and have since wanted to create a series of round drawings myself. This particular Roundel is of a beautiful moment in my local park where the light was shining through the trees. It was brought to my attention that the white space between the trees resembles the shape of a dove, which was totally accidental!
