This is an impressionistic painting on canvas of the Rose garden in Vilnius with a view over to the tower of the Church of All Saints. My daughter went inter railing and she shared a photo of this magical place. The sky was blue and the roses were stunning - I just had to paint it. I hope to go one day.
The painting is painted with bold strong colours and impressionistic details. I wanted to capture the feeling of life and joy in the garden and not labour over each petal.
The painting is ready to hang.
