Artwork description
Robin Hood’s Bay Rooftops
This print captures a characterful view from the heart of Robin Hood’s Bay, looking across the tightly packed fishing cottages and rooftops that tumble down towards the sea. In the foreground, craypots from the Mariondale Fisheries hint at the village’s proud maritime heritage.
Tucked away on the North Yorkshire coast, Robin Hood’s Bay is a true hidden gem—a maze of winding streets, weathered stone cottages, independent shops, cosy cafés, and centuries of seafaring stories. Once known for its smuggling past, it now marks the dramatic end point of Wainwright’s famous Coast to Coast walk.
Printed in a rich palette of 12 colours, this is a hand-pulled silk screen print in A2 size. This print has red flowers in the hanging basket. There is also a print with Purple Violets in the hanging basket.
