A man and woman sit on a low white-washed wall, taking in the sounds, sights and smells of a Greek island port. The intoxicating combination of the sun’s heat, the lapping of the sea and the smell of freshly caught octopus are the island staples of the Cyclades, with their blue-shuttered white houses and clear skies. The scene before us is, as with all my work, viewed through the lens of a more nostalgic time, before smartphones and social media. Part of the ‘Nomadic’ Collection. This original work is painted on a medium textured, professionally stretched canvas, using Old Holland & Michael Harding artist quality oils and mediums and finished with a light satin varnish. The painting arrives carefully packaged with a signed certificate of authenticity.
