River at dusk
Vanilla light,
Earthy violet,
Terracotta,
Sky reflecting,

Reeds.

My words and feelings of my many observations of the River Stour in the idylic Blackmoor Vale of North Dorset.
A beautiful time to study the tonal shades of the dusk light and everything looks more inviting to me.

I used, to create this old fashioned original watercolour a reflective light technique for the back washes of sky -river then a dragging technique for the reeds and Goat Willow .All with three colours .

Materials used:

Rough textured watercolour-Bockingford acid free,Chinese bamboo brushes and filbert brush,Holbein watercolour paints, water,
