In Rising High I have tried to capture a beautiful place Auli in Uttranchal in India. It seems there is competition going on between mountains and settlements. The painting depicts a serene mountain landscape with traditional houses in the foreground. The buildings have slanted tin roofs painted in warm shades of red, orange and turquoise, creating a striking contrast with the natural palette of the scene. The houses are surrounded by lush green grass and bushes, while tall rocky hills rise dramatically in the background. Soft, blue and grey tones in the mountains give a sense of depth and idyllic atmosphere of the setting. The blend of vivid rooftops and tranquil mountains evokes a picturesque countryside retreat.
