Nocturne at Seilebost is a dramatic black and white landscape photograph created at Seilebost on the Isle of Harris in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. Part of my Music of the Light collection, this atmospheric Scottish landscape artwork captures the extraordinary meeting of tidal water, luminous sand and gathering storm clouds.

Dark water sweeps across the foreground before curling through the silver-white sands towards the distant Harris hills. Above, layers of cloud gather and deepen, pierced by fleeting passages of light. In monochrome, the contrasts become almost elemental: darkness against illumination, movement against stillness, water against land.

I was captivated by the sense of anticipation within the landscape. The darkening water and gathering clouds seemed to build like notes within a chord, creating a moment of tension before weather and tide transformed everything once again.

Powerful at large scale, Nocturne at Seilebost brings depth and drama to contemporary interiors. Its black, charcoal, silver and white palette makes it especially effective as statement wall art in minimalist, modern and neutral spaces.
