Original artwork description:

In this season of rest my eye is drawn to what makes me feel relaxed, or what can also energise me. These Japanese Anemones in my front garden flower late summer and are so tender pink! They symbolise resilience, innocence, purity and sincerity. I love the juxtaposition of the pink next to the deep burnt orange of the day lily, and pops of apricot shining through. Painted on canvas board with acrylic in an expressive, gestural style, I hope they bring the viewer into a place of joy, peace and resilience. They are framed in a thin grey wood floater frame.
