Original artwork description
A beautiful textured abstract of blues, yellows and earthy natural colours. This new series of works is inspired by the raw energy and rugged beauty of the Tasman Peninsula – it’s tumultuous beauty, fierce storms, calm tides – of changing moods, energy and colours.
Everyone has their own special place and to me, the Tasman Peninsula is the most beautiful place in the world, where I have continued to visit since childhood. Each artwork is a point of reference, not only to place, but also to time, as the forces of nature shift and change – from the majestic dolerite cliffs, the colour of the water, the tumultuous seas and a reflection of time at Port Arthur.
I have visited 'Remarkable Caves' since childhood and it has always fascinated me. I love the openings and the reflections they create around the ceiling, the mystery, sound and energy of the waves as they come through. Sometimes tranquil and sometimes wild. One of my most special places, full of memories.
Please note the image of the painting in the room has the artwork framed. The artwork is unframed and looks great that way.
