"Reconstruction" is an ethnic sculpture in the Bancos series, unusual ethnic sculptures modelled in wood-fibre clay.
Strange and disturbing, it symbolises the slow reconstruction of a woman treated like a doll that life has broken.
She was modelled in a mixture of wood-fibre clay and cellulose surfine, which resembles banco. Her arms are still missing, but her feminine curves are very much in evidence.
Dimensions: H 13 x W 8 x D 17 cm Materials: wood fibre clay paste, surfine wood cellulose, acrylic paint
