The sun’s out after a spell of rain. A child, wearing a borrowed pair of oversized wellingtons, finds a feather while out walking. The dog, usually distracted by squirrels, is more interested in the puddles this time. This piece is rooted in fond memories of childhood adventures with my first dog, Zipa. It’s a nostalgic and poignant reflection on the excitement and boundless imagination of being young—when even a short walk felt daring and full of wonder.
The drawing is transferred onto the linoleum with red carbon paper and carved into the surface intuitively with sharp lino cutting tools.
An edition of sixty hand prints, using the traditional printing method rubbing a baren on the back of the smooth Snowdon 140gsm acid free paper to transfer the printing ink from the linoleum to the paper.
Each print is numbered, titled and signed in pencil, protected with glassine tissue paper and sealed in a cellophane pocket with foamboard support. Carefully and lovingly packed in a stiff cardboard box, insured, tracked and guaranteed next working day delivery within the UK and 2 to 3 working days for Europe, 3 - 5 days Globally, so that it arrives safely and in perfect condition.
Paper Size: 29.7 x 21.0cm
Image size 21.0 x 15.0cm
Please note you might not receive the number in the photograph and each print is handmade and has slight variations in tone and marks. The print is not supplied with a frame.
