A man celebrates. His enthusiasm deflated, dissipating amongst the clouds. A special day for others it seems.
He stares upon the relentless wave of time. A wave so incessant that it erodes one's very fabric, laying waste to one's memories and presence in the memory of others.
The painting also tackles a relentless wave of nationalism. A type of nationalism that sets off sirens and creates monsters. This conviction appears to have now resurfaced and is flowing into every crevice, saturating people's ability to empathise, laying sodden their ability to cooperate.
