During my walks back from the Academy, I often found myself looking down — at the pavement, the wet reflections, the softened lights after rain. Fallen leaves and warm illuminations from the streetlights — these small things start to feel charged with meaning.
That day was one of the lonelier ones. The puddles reflected the streetlights in strange, surreal colors. My frustration and sadness slowly calmed as I watched the rhythm of the raindrops.
The light seemed to have its own texture — dense, almost tangible — while the distant spaces dissolved into thin, transparent layers of paint.
The painting captures that quiet comfort that only rain can bring: when the world slows down, and every reflection feels like a small truth.
