When creating this piece, I wanted to capture a corner gently embraced by sunlight. The rattan chair, the open book, and the scattered patches of light all conveyed a simple yet profound tranquility to me. Through the large window, I hoped viewers could almost smell the greenery, hear the soft rustle of leaves, and find a moment of calm within themselves.
I used loose brushstrokes to portray the vitality of the plants, keeping the scene lively and organic. Strong contrasts in light and shadow highlight the rhythmic dance of afternoon sunlight across the floor and furniture. With warm tones and gentle transitions, I created a soft, quiet, and slightly intimate indoor atmosphere.
