Original artwork description
We are diving ever deeper into the world of screens — into the flicker of monitors and the cold glow of our smartphones. More and more often, the faces of our friends become pixels, their voices mere signals from a speaker. The human visage is losing its physicality and is being replaced by codes, symbols, and signs.
Today, we no longer recognize each other by facial features, but by digital traces — by encryptions, QR codes, and unique digital fingerprints. In this new world, the image of the human being is no longer physical, but reduced to pure data.
These reflections inspired my new work — a painting titled “Q-CODE.” In it, I sought to capture the moment of transition: from the living to the virtual, from recognition through the eyes — to the scanning of a code.
