This watercolor piece captures the quiet strength and inner depth of the woman portrayed. As I painted, I was drawn to the contrast between her delicate features and the intensity of the deep red background. It represents both vulnerability and resilience, as if she’s caught between two worlds—her serene, poised exterior and the storm of emotions that swirl beneath. The soft, fluid brushstrokes were intended to reflect the fleeting nature of our emotions, while her steady gaze invites the viewer to look beyond the surface, into her soul. Through this painting, I wanted to explore the balance between fragility and power, and how beauty can be found in both.
