In the series of art work, the artist is exploring prehistoric symbols of art and architecture in Sri Lanka. This is one of a kind very personal piece of art work by the artist in her exploration of her culture.
The main element explore in this work is the pot of prosperity( vase full of either coconut flowers or lotus), an ancient symbol that is carved into and sculpted into building for thousands of years as a symbol of wealth.
Here the artist has used the concept of of pot prosperity with the purple lotus flower(the nation flower of Sri lanka) and several english countryside blooms where the artist resides. The pot is further adorned with a partial Sri lankan rakish mask know for warding off evil and sickness and the Cobras as Guardians. The pot is unscripted with sinhala words of wealth and prosperity.
