Initially, I did not intend to paint this still life. I bought a bouquet spontaneously, poppies caught my attention when I was walking down the street in an unexpectedly joyful mood. It is difficult to pass by these flowers, I love them very much for paradoxical blend of fiery intensity and fragility.
