Artwork description
Poppies is a limited edition reduction linoprint.
A reduction linoprint is formed using layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block of lino. This is one of an edition of 8 prints, because of the process of making a lino print, each one has slight variations making each one of them original.
This is printed using Schmincke water based ink on Somerset Satin 300GSM paper.
The print is numbered, titled and signed on the front. The printed image is 15 x 20 cm. It is sold unmounted and unframed.
I just love poppies, this image started life as a photograph and I wanted to know if I could represent the translucence of the poppies and the filter on the camera turning the sparkles on the water into big circles. I am really pleased with the way it turned out.
The image will be sent securely packaged by Royal Mail.
