Poetry is literature that evokes a specific emotional response through language chosen and is arranged for its meaning, sound, and rhythm. It is a form of expression that encourages us to connect and find meaning in our experiences.
Life is a chain of events, big and small, happy and not so joyful happenings which evoke emotional responses continuously.
With this series ‘Poetry of life’, my intention is to give expression to this chain of events not through words, but through paint, with visual elements, marks, textures and a history of layers in the paint surface.
This painting in the series 'Poetry of life' shows the darker sides of life. Although the main impression is darkness, there are sparks of light coming through. The viewer is invited to discover the light and beauty in the darkness.
