I enjoy finding fresh ways to present still life. In this painting the pitcher has been 'flattened' to an outline only allowing the background to show through, while the apples are more three dimensional. There is a semi-abstract nature to the whole and a smidgin of texture shows brush and palette knife marks. Painted using high quality Michael Harding oils and Rosemary & Co brushes.

This painting is sold unframed but is suitable to do so should you wish or it can be left to lean against something, on a bookcase for example. I do not varnish my paintings , as I prefer the slightly chalky look of the oils as laid down. If you would like it varnished before sending, I can do so at no extra cost.

The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and initialled on the front.
