Pink Moon on a Blue Night (2018) Original Acrylic Painting by Phyllis Mahon

Inspired by the view from my bedroom window and the lyrics of one of my favourite singers, Nick Drake, this ethereal little painting is an impression of a moonrise seen at 3am in early May 2018. The almost half-moon was low and red against the intense dark foliage. I could just make put the distant fields opposite my house.

Sold Unframed - the image is painted around the edge of the canvas (see photos), so there is no need for a frame.
