Original artwork description
In Japan, pink has never needed translation. It belongs to cherry blossoms — sakura — and to a specific, aching beauty: not despite its shortness, but because of it.
In Pink Mood II, petals scatter across a lavender-to-violet field, some still attached to branches, others already adrift, caught mid-fall. Roses in soft yellow-white and pale pink emerge from deep, near-black centers.
Hanami was never about owning the flower. It was about being present while it was still there.
