The peony has always been on of my favorite flowers. From the very small bud to the last petal dropping it is a beautiful show piece, with a fragrance to match its beauty.
It seems when I sit down just to paint to relax or forget the stress of a day, I always paint the peony. It is part of my Search for Truth series. A deeper look into the elements I paint when I don't know where to turn or what to do. When life is overwhelming. Elements I always find truth in.
Peonies in the Rain is 14 x 11 inches on stretched canvas. It is gallery wrapped, wired and ready to hang. It comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
