Out of the merriment,
Clear as the glisten
Of dew on the brier,
And birches like pearls in the mist
adapted from "The Jongleur" by Bliss Carman
inspired by an early morning walk in the woods, where the birch peek out of the fog like pearls.
This is a large palette knife forest painting.
Sides of the canvas are painted black.
Protective coat of satin varnish applied.
The painting is signed on the front and the back.
