Part of Alexander Levich’s Twenty Minutes of One Evening series, Pathway Road transforms a simple countryside road into a contemplative study of space and distance.

A pale road stretches across an open landscape before disappearing into the horizon beneath a vast grey sky. The composition is intentionally reduced to its essential elements, allowing atmosphere, scale and direction to become the central subjects of the painting. The work recalls traditions of Tonalism and contemporary minimal landscape painting, where emotional impact emerges through subtle tonal relationships and spatial openness rather than narrative content.

At 100 × 200 cm, the panoramic format enhances the immersive quality of the landscape and reinforces the sense of endless possibility suggested by the road itself.
