This "Duinovergang" or "path over the dunes" is one of my favourites
along this stretch of beach between Cadzand Bad and Breskens in the
region of Zeeuws Vlaanderen in the Netherlands. Unlike many of the other
beach access routes which consist of steep stone steps up one side of
the dunes and down the other or which involve walking on cycle paths (at
your peril!), this path remains very natural and you walk on deep, soft
sand through overgrown sanddunes. It was the interesting variety of
plants which somehow survive in this dry sandy environment which
attracted my attention to this subject and, of course, the turquoise
colour of the sea as the sun hits the water.

"Duinovergang Pèse Schorre" was painted en plein air in Nieuwvliet,
Zeeuws Vlaanderen, on Arches 300g rough watercolour paper using Windsor
and Newton paints. It comes with a warm white mount to fit a
standard-size frame of 60x80cm and is accompanied by a certificate of
authenticity signed by the artist.
