Von Blechbergen ausgedienter Autos geht für mich eine unheimliche Faszination aus...Lange dienten Sie den Besitzern als Transportmittel für Einkäufe und Familienfahrten. Die meisten Menschen geben ihrem Auto einen Namen, weil es doch irgendwie zur Familie gehört. Und dann fahre ich an einem Schrottplatz vorbei und sehe diese Farbenpracht der ehemals so wichtigen Gefährten im Leben. Das musste einfach auf die Leinwand gebracht werden.
For me, there is an uncanny fascination with mountains of metal from disused cars...For a long time, they served the owners as a means of transport for shopping and family trips. Most people give their car a name because it somehow belongs to the family. And then I drive past a junkyard and see this blaze of color from what used to be such important companions in life. That just had to be put on the canvas.
