Parliament Hill 6 (2026) Original Drawing by Steve Potts
18 x 12.5cm (unframed) / 15.5 x 10.5cm (actual image size)
£150
Original artwork description
The sixth drawing in the Parliament Hill series, and the one I'm most drawn to because of the unplanned results of the pencil and oil pastel combination. Drawn from the brow of Parliament Hill, this work tries to capture the wide, open sweep of Hampstead Heath looking toward Highgate. The combination of pencil and oil pastel surprised me, moving the piece in a direction dictated by the tools rather than anything I could anticipate. This is an abstraction, for sure, but I like the way the on-site terrain inspired marks I would not have made in the studio.
Materials used:
pencil, oil pastel
Details:
- Drawing on Paper
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 18 x 12.5cm (unframed) / 15.5 x 10.5cm (actual image size)
- Signed on the front
- Style: Expressive and gestural
- Subject: Landscapes, sea and sky
