Pale Blue Atmospheric Field is an abstract exploration of light, space and stillness. Soft layers of pale blue, turquoise and muted tones create an open, luminous surface in which colour seems to drift and dissolve.

The painting developed through an intuitive process of layering and gestural brushwork. Subtle variations of tone and texture create a sense of depth, while areas of light emerge through the surface, suggesting distance, air and changing atmosphere.

Rather than depicting a specific landscape, the work evokes the memory or sensation of an open horizon — a quiet space between sea and sky. The restrained palette gives the painting a contemplative quality, inviting the viewer to slow down and experience the subtle movement within the blue.

This work continues my exploration of blue as a space for emotion, memory and reflection.
