Original artwork description
Painting worked from free improvisation. Action painting with music by Tame Impala.
These last lines from the book of the History of Earth is Our Time. Time is relative, it takes millions of years to form mountains but in just a few thousand years humans have changed the face of the earth completely.
We came down from the trees, we got on two legs, we developed prehensile hands and little by little our brains became more complex.
We developed self-awareness and asked ourselves questions. We were able to "tame" Nature, we specialized, we lived longer. We expanded, colonized the entire world and changed it. Now it seems that it is too small for us.
However, not long ago we were monkeys grown up.
Everything passed through the filter of a dream and built on a wall marked by graffiti and the passage of time, in a big city.
We, who are Nature but who have become something else.
Gestural, intuitive painting, which lets things happen and relies on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...
