To me, otters have always symbolized the beauty of our natural landscapes. There's something truly magical about encountering them in the wild, an experience that's hard to top. I aimed to capture their incredible grace and joy while swimming, envisioning a world where they can thrive without the threat of pollution or insensitive development.
The "Through Clear Water" sculpture, featuring otters swimming through a ring, continues to utilize the ring as a symbol of their world. This concept struck a chord with me, especially after being inspired by David Attenborough's efforts to raise awareness about plastic pollution in our rivers and oceans. Charities like Plastic Oceans are making significant strides in addressing this issue, benefiting both us and the planet. I hope we can tackle this problem within my lifetime.
