Orange Sky Trees Original Mixed-media Painting by Roz Edwards

This is a mixed media painting. It is produced mainly in acrylic paint. However, the paint has been applied over a textured surface to give a semi 3D effect and texture. The lines of the roots, branches and land surface often follow the underlying texture. This is an effect I often use on my larger canvas pieces. I thought I would try the effect on a smaller piece , that can be framed.
I have shown one photo with strong lighting to emphasize the textured feel to this painting. The painting seems to change a little during the day with different lighting conditions.

It is supplied in an ivory mount. The work is attached to the mount and sealed at the back with ivory card as a backboard. It is not supplied framed, although I have shown it in a frame in some of the photos, so you can see what it would look like. I actually think it would look really attractive in a black frame too. It takes a standard 16 x 20 inch frame that can be bought easily.

This is being sold at a very fair and affordable price. I sometimes offer paintings at a lower price as an introduction to my work. This would usually sell at more than twice the price, especially in a high street gallery.
