Biography
The vibrant colours, intricate contours, and gentle lines found in coastal landscapes visited, and the natural beauty of the forests and fields that surround my home inspire my work.
Acrylics are my medium of choice due to their practicality, offering a rapid drying time. However, my artistic approach is far from spontaneous. Each piece is a reflective response to my environment, drawing from personal experiences and memories.
Whether I'm exploring abstract compositions, figurative elements, or a blend of both, my goal remains consistent: to encapsulate the essence of a place or moment in time. Each artwork serves as a visual representation of my interpretation and connection to the world around me.
Raised in Nottinghamshire, my artistic journey took a unique path. Despite not pursuing formal art education, I have continued to evolve my practice.
Battling mental health challenges, including a diagnosis of Bipolar disorder in my 30s, I have found solace and inspiration within the confines of my attic studio.
My work has received recognition through various awards, including a Clairefontaine award and The Artist exhibition award.
Today, my paintings adorn walls in homes and offices across the UK, as well as internationally in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
