"One Step Closer (Urban Rooftops)" captures a moment just before something shifts — before the city wakes, or a story begins.

It’s a quiet cityscape, painted in oils on toned linen. I chose to leave the background fabric visible, letting its natural color become part of the atmosphere. The rooftop foreground and layered facades echo the textures of real life: raw, softened by weather and time, touched with stories.

I wanted this painting to feel lived-in — like the quiet rhythm of a morning view, with windows not just as geometry, but as silent witnesses.
