One Slawit Morning (2019)Screenprint by Dan Booth

A 5 colour screen print of a January morning in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire (known as 'Slawit' to locals). This is the view looking down the Huddersfield Narrow Canal
towards Spa Mill.

This image started life as a digital photograph (I love taking photos and capturing places and scenes that inspire me). Through a lot of hard work and effort, I transform my original photographs into screen printable artwork.

I print my screen prints by hand with a lot of care and attention at my studio in Slaithwaite. I also print at West Yorkshire Print Workshop in Mirfield, where I've been a member for many years.

Colours: Light pink, mauve, light brown, dark brown, and light blue.
