Abstracted impressionist landscape painting.

The view in this painting looks out to the Bristol Channel from County Gate, Exmoor. It was a particularly fine day in August, not much wind, lots of sunshine, brilliant blue skies and great visibility. We could easily see Wales on the other side of the channel, and I loved the way the shadows of the clouds fell upon the water. It really was ‘one fine day’, as the weather leading up to it, and the days that followed, were rather overcast and dull.

Painted in oil, largely with a palette knife, this atmospheric piece is full of glorious colours and textures.

This artwork is on deep edge canvas fitted with D-ring fixings and is ready to hang. The sides are painted so framing isn't a necessity. Delivery is by Royal Mail Special Delivery where a signature will be required.
