Original artwork description
This painting is a hommage to my very first art teacher Karl-Heinz Essig. I have never met him, but when I was a student, I saw his paintings in a gallery in my home town in Detmold every day. I loved his way of loose painting and drawing into the painting and many times I admired his works through the window or went in and bought a catalog because I could not afford his paintings. And that was before I could even paint myself... one day, I thought, one fine day!!
Ever since I have tried to paint as loose and lovely as he did and it has taught me much in my own paintings to watch his work. From time to time I am now copying some of my favorite paintings from him just for the fun of it, but in my own way and formats. We are all copyists in art, we have learned from the masters before us. We should treasure these influences and love our teachers in life. Unfortunately I have never met him, but at least I have managed to buy a painting from him in the meantime.
Maybe there are teachers that have influenced you in your life and work? Remember them with love!
40x15 cm on professional 300g watercolor paper, watercolors, acrylics and graphite used.
The painting will come unframed, signed on the front and back.

ATTENTION: I show some simple framing options just to give you an idea what the painting could look like framed and at the wall. A white, silver, black or grey frame would look great, the best will be to take it to the framers and discuss the size of mat and frame. If you need any advice on this, feel free to contact me!
COLORS: Please be aware that monitors may show colors slightly different from reality, especially blues and greens. It is almost impossible to avoid that!
SHIPPING: Please note, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes which are applied when the delivery reaches that destination.
I have no control over these charges and I cannot predict their amount.
You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
