A dark roadside scene where a strip of orange light cuts through the ground and disappears into the night.

I stopped at the edge of the road, where the lamp was just strong enough to reveal something, but not enough to explain it. A pole stood ahead, and from it, shadows stretched out across the surface – long, distorted, and unclear. I couldn’t tell what exactly was casting them.

The light holds the foreground in place, but everything further away slips into darkness. The horizon is barely there – just a soft line of trees. One shadow runs through the whole image, linking what is visible with the dark silhouettes in the background.

I painted it loosely, letting the brushstrokes stay visible and slightly unstable. The scene isn’t fixed – it shifts depending on how long you look at it.

The painting is ready to hang and will be delivered in secure, multi-layered packaging, insured and tracked to ensure its safety during transport. Each work comes with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its originality.
