Original artwork description:

“Give yourself the love of a cat. You will learn to read the world in its eyes. Eyes that know of the abyss and the light, of defeats and waitings, eyes that will find you again when even you don't know where you are.” (Andrew Faber). This is where I drew inspiration for this painting, in which the wide expanse of the sunset caressing the sea seems to become the emotional reverberation of the symbiotic affection for one's cat, expressing a hymn to the genuine and eternal bond between humans and the animal kingdom. With acrylic, watercolor, and ink, I captured the intensity of two gazes merging into one another and the intimacy of a deep connection with a beloved and irreplaceable kitten, intertwining realism and expressionism to transcend the visible. Each brushstroke enhances the union and warmth that only such a pure feeling can evoke, bringing a spark of emotion and love to every space it will inhabit.

Materials used:

Acrylic, watercolor and ink on cardboard
