Olive was my great aunt. For the last thirty years her mahogany sewing table has been in my father's spare room. I have just inherited it and given it life anew in my studio where it is just the right size and height to use for my brushes and water pot. I carefully cover it so as not to cause damage. I also use it for setting up still life compositions. But I felt it was deserving of it's own painting and thus it was the inspiration for 'Olive's Table'.

The muted colour palette worked in layers, creates a soft and timeless ambiance, fitting of the provenance of 'Olive's Table'.

The painting is initialed on the front and signed on the back together with the title.
Presented in a bespoke high quality wood frame (as seen in the photograph), 'Olive's Table' will enhance any environment.
