I never get bored looking at old olive trees: how much passionate vitality there is in their silhouettes!
Powerful trunks are intricately bent under the gusts of severe winter storms, flexible branches intertwine in search of protection from cold winds, roots are exposed under the torrents of rain. And the delicate silvery foliage, like a school of silvery fish, contrasts unexpectedly and freshly with the powerful trunks. And there is so much charm in this contrast that I return to old olive trees again and again.
The painting was created on a stretched canvas with the painting continued arround the edges of the piece.
The painting is ready to hang, no frame need.
