In this painting, I channeled my deep appreciation for the serene interplay of sky and sea at the coastline. Using oil paints, I married Impressionism and Realism to capture the vivid, fleeting moments where light dances over old boats that rest near the shore, whispering tales of past voyages. This scene is a heartfelt homage to nature's quiet beauty and the timeless stories held by the maritime relics. Once, on one of my travels to Greece Peloponnese, I came across a very picturesque place. This is a small fishing port, where old boats lay on the shore. They looked in the rays of the southern sun in a special way. And I remembered the story Ernest Hemingway "The Old Man and the Sea".
