Original artwork description
Large 40" x40" - 102cm x 102cm, strongly textured painting which draws on my memories of the landscape and wildlife of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. One in my series of 'powerful places ' paintings inspired by memories of my travels. More than anything else it is the elephants that will always stay with me. I managed to get so close to them in a canoe.. too close at times. The bull elephants in the Okavango certainly seem to be much larger than any where else that I have experienced in Africa.
This painting incorporates my characteristic subtle use of reflective paints to capture the light.
Painted grey on the sides so you may choose not to frame. Initialled on the front and signed on the back and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Corded and ready to hang.
